All hirings are subject to our terms and conditions, a copy of which is displayed on the notice board in the foyer. The committee may refuse or cancel bookings and ask for deposits where deemed appropriate. Charges will be made for cancelled bookings.
Hirers will be held responsible and charged for anything broken, damaged, defaced or missing after their hire period and deposits will be forfeited to the amount of the cost of repair or replacement.
The hall is licensed by the Local Authority for "music, singing, dancing and entertainment of the like kind". A summary of the premises licence is displayed on the notice board in the foyer.
The licensed activities may only take place during the hours shown on the licence summary.
The hall is also licensed by The Performing Right Society for the playing of live and recorded music during licensed hours.
We are not currently licensed for the retail sale of alcohol. However, should you wish to run a bar during an event, you may apply to do so when you book the hall. If approved by the committee, you must send a "Temporary Event Notice" to the Local Authority, with a copy to Heddlu Gwent Police, at least two weeks prior to your event.

A fee of £21 is payable to Monmouthshire County Council which must accompany the copy of the notice that you send to the Council. A copy of the notice must also be given to a committee member prior to the event.
Please note that Heddlu Gwent Police have the power to object to a notice where they suspect that crime or disorder may occur as a result.
In any case, you should note that it is illegal to sell or give alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 years.
Smoking is prohibited inside the hall building by law.
